At El Naranjo Restaurant & Bar we are dedicated to serving delicious traditional Mexican food. We create savory salsas and moles, well-seasoned food with great concern for finding a pleasing balance of flavors.
We make our own tortillas with Heirloom Corn imported from different regions of Mexico nixtamalised and stone grounded everyday at the restaurant, bake our own bread, and use fresh vegetables and herbs. While the food has a strong culinary resemblance to our former internationally acclaimed restaurant in Oaxaca, we draw from the many rich traditions of Mexican cooking.
Join us for dinner or come enjoy a Margarita at our bar.
The team behind El Naranjo is excited to announce the opening of its second location on Tuesday, September 17. Located at 2717 South Lamar Blvd, the new space will feature a 22-seat bar and ample parking. Established by James Beard semifinalist Iliana de la Vega and Ernesto Torrealba in 2012, the Oaxacan restaurant and bar has proudly served elevated Mexican cuisine at its current Rainey Street home and will continue to bring the taste of Mexico to its new location.
